Money can do
everything? It appears that if.
As a child I was
searching with much effort one by one the coins to buy the magazines of Batman
and Superman.
I never thought
that decades later another boy, a big boy, a boy millionaire, a smart kid,
whimsical, fearless and boastful made a fabulous armor and through it became
an invincible superhero: Iron Man.
In these days of
mega films, full of super-special effects, Superman, Batman and Spider-Man remained
in a second plane of the photo of heroic fame.
New versions of
the Man of Steel, the Dark Knight and the young man cursed-blessed by a spider,
put more emphasis on the
feelings of these heroic icons of several generations
on the outer edge of the center of the scene
Instead, Iron
Man was never during his greatest fame a dual personality: he was always a
millionaire arms dealer become a hero fighting for his country and for Justice.
The Hulk,
Captain America, Thor and the Black Widow are only spectators of the new
exploits of Robert Downey Jr.
When I write to
any of the superheroes who accompany me since my first steps in this world I
can not to be impartial.
Leaving aside
Patoruzu, the Lone Ranger, Zorro, the Lion of France, Tarzan, Sandokan the
Tiger of Malaysia, Sergeant Kirk, the Eternauta, to Misterix, my dreams have
always lived with comic heroes cited above.
Having read
several times the Iliad and the Odyssey I do not think there are many
differences between a child accompanied by Greek Homeric heroes like Achilles, Hector, Ulysses and modern child who
has seen the new movies of Batman, Superman, Spider-man and Iron Man.
The Hulk represents
man dominated by instincts. Subject to the forces of nature. That Nature that
as a society we strive to despise by our self-destruction.
Captain America represents
the triumph of human will over the natural limitations. It is the power of
will. The will of Power. Faithfully represents imperial vocation of humanity:
the Mighty always triumph, whatever the source of his power.
Viking God Thor
is suitable to the standards "civilized" of contemporary society.
Following the
unwritten rules of macho heroism and to avoid the wrath female is good to have
at least one female representative even if it takes a name associated with
deception and poison.
Batman and
Superman both deserve a great space to be analyzed as befits their nature
complicated and serious doubts about the mission to be fulfilled in a sinister
world.

readers can share thoughts with me my email address to initiate a dialogue that
can be fruitful for both parties.
In this short
article attached two images found on the Internet.
A corresponds to
Spider-man 2.
The other to
Iron Man 3.
In the first we
see the excellent actor who played the famous character in the first movie
arresting a subway car full of passengers scared.
He does it
effortlessly.
Later scenes of
the film show him unmasked vanished and carried in the arms by those grateful
passengers.
They have become
custodians of Hero. And I perceive as a young helpless and unprotected without
his mask.
This simple
scene has great significance in understanding the relationship between the
audience and the film Hero: All who were excited about the adventures they
undertake are willing to part with them if the circumstances so require it.
It is the dream
of fans.
In the second
scene we see Iron Man 3 starring the extraordinary actor Robert Downey Jr.
The character
appears unmasked surrounded by his cloned creatures.
In this case the
Hero does not need us.
We can not help
Iron Man
We are mere
spectators.
He's the
loneliest of Super Heroes.
